The 9th Smart Building / Smart Construction Innovation World Cup is part of the Innovation World Cup Series, the long-running open innovation platform run with BIM World MUNICH to find startups shaping the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Startups, scaleups, and innovative SMEs worldwide can submit solutions free of charge across the categories Planning, Construction, Operations of building and infrastructure, and Environment, and top innovators present at BIM World MUNICH. The submission deadline on the official page is 1 October 2026, 11:59 PM CET.

• Planning: digital twins, data collection and exchange, stakeholder collaboration, and visualisation of construction projects
• Construction: telematics, connected and remote-controlled equipment, smart machines and materials, and continuous site monitoring
• Building and infrastructure operations: building management systems, connected smart homes, IoT security, and AI devices
• Environment: green building, smart water and energy management, waste management, and lower CO2 emissions
