Deadline: 2027-02-11 Official site
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) Internet of Things (IoT) Robotics & Drones

Overview
#

The ST Innovation Challenge is STMicroelectronics’ flagship program, run as part of the Innovation World Cup Series, to connect with and foster tech entrepreneurs and innovative SMEs worldwide. It invites startups, scaleups, and SMEs to build context-aware systems that combine MEMS sensing, embedded processing, Edge AI, and connectivity in their own hardware design. The challenge focuses on hardware, embedded systems, and electronic design; purely software-, app-, or cloud-based solutions are out of scope. Submissions run through the Innovation World Cup and close on 11 February 2027.

Focus Areas
#

  • Robotics and humanoids: sensing and embedded intelligence for perception, navigation, motion control, and human-machine interaction
  • Industrial and predictive maintenance: intelligent monitoring that detects anomalies and anticipates failures
  • Contextual sensing and asset monitoring or tracking across logistics chains and industrial sites
  • Wireless sensor nodes with physical AI at the edge: autonomous, low-power nodes that sense, reason, and act locally
  • Drones, aerospace, and satellite applications; smart cities and agriculture
  • Healthcare and wearables: biosignal sensing and on-device processing

Benefits
#

  • Free development kits from STMicroelectronics, such as SensorTile.box PRO and STWIN.box, plus the ST Edge AI Suite and ST AIoT Craft tools
  • Collaboration with ST’s team, including field application experts experienced in supporting startups
  • Business development advice from international tech leaders
  • Speaking slots in the Innovation World Cup finals at Hannover Messe 2027 and at WT Wearable Technologies Conferences, MEDICA, and BIM World MUNICH
  • Free marketing packages, global media coverage, and promotion in the Innovation World Cup Hall of Fame
  • Free participation
